Michael Scott was born in Los Angeles in 1950 and has lived in Australia for 18 years, and in Singapore for one year, where he created a TV series. Before pursuing acrylics, Michael Scott had a career in the TV/Film industry where he worked at NBC-TV in Los Angeles for 13 years in management and production positions, then worked as a freelance Assistant Director on numerous prime time TV series, tele-movies, and feature motion pictures.
He is the recipient of a Full-Tuition Scholarship to The California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He had two One-Man Shows at Robina Art Gallery in Robina, Queensland Australia. He has sold works to private collectors on three continents and has developed various art series including his Asian series, Cosmos/Universe, Koi Fish, Surfing and Food Icons. Michael Scott has also won art awards from the L.A. Times Student Competition and the Barnsdale Park Art Show in L.A. All current works are done in acrylics with over 50 works in current inventory.
